File Size Limits

This page explains the file size restrictions and limitations for uploads in the MagnoliaEd platform.

📏 General Upload Limits

Per File Limits

  • Maximum file size: 500 MB per individual file
  • Recommended size: Under 100 MB for optimal performance
  • Minimum size: 1 KB (no empty files)

Account Limits

  • Total storage per instructor: 10 GB
  • Total storage per course: 5 GB
  • Monthly upload quota: 2 GB per instructor

📁 Format-Specific Limits

Supported File Types 📄

  • PDF files: Up to 500 MB
  • Word documents (.docx): Up to 100 MB
  • PowerPoint presentations (.pptx): Up to 200 MB
  • Text files (.txt): Up to 50 MB

Media Files

Images

  • Maximum size: 50 MB per image
  • Recommended size: Under 10 MB
  • Recommended dimensions: 1920x1080 pixels or smaller
